CCEI & CHITIPA DISTRICT COUNCIL RABIES VACCINATION CAMPAIGNS
A major rabies vaccination drive was carried out in October 2025 in Malawi's Chitipa district, where over 3,500 pets received shots. This was part of the ATERP 2 project, run by CCEI with support from its partners, Vétérinaires Sans Frontières-Netherlands. The project provided 4,000 vaccine doses and worked with government staff to achieve its goal. ATERP 2 aims to make a contribution towards eliminating rabies by 2030 by not only vaccinating thousands of dogs but also by raising public awareness and building local capacity. Digital tools were used to map and record the vaccination efforts.
